Working together with U island CIC - Russian Speaking Community of West Midlands, DOR - Romanian Diaspora, SAKTA - latviešu kopiena- Latvian Community and other organizations on an Amazing project called "U Are Here".
Humans are just like birds, leaving their homes & migrating around the world.
We have migrated to England for a better life and/or other circumstances.
This project offers to create an installation/bird box, through which we can represent Czechia & Slovakia in topics given: folklore, emigration, architecture and history.
We are working with fabulous artist like Tereza Buskova & Juneau Projects.
On the 22nd April we joined forces with Centrala to answer the most common and pressing questions, to address the worries and concerns about
#EUSettlementScheme in #Slovak, already viewed by nearly 80 000 people.

With well established Czech & Slovak schools now running in Birmingham, Oxford & Nottingham, we have made a first step to help our communities in Stoke on Trent. Organizing an OPEN DAY in the Hanley park, we have discussed opportunities with families living in this area. Parents have expressed huge interest in organizing events for children and adults.

March is the month of BOOKs and the Association of Slovak Schools and Communities in UK has prepared for Slovak children living in England competition in reciting poems form Slovak authors. Children form our Slovak schools in Birmingham, Nottingham & Oxford are also taking part.
