​​​The Czech & Slovak Club UK CIC

​established in 2013, is a Community Interest Company dedicated to supporting Czech, Slovak, and other Central & Eastern European communities across the UK.We run supplementary language schools in Birmingham, Nottingham, Oxford, and Hemel Hempstead, along with a community centre in Stoke-on-Trent. Through these, we help children and families learn their language, explore their heritage, and celebrate cultural traditions.
​Beyond the classroom, we support a folk dance ensemble, organise arts, cultural, social, and educational events, and provide spaces where people can connect, share, and grow together.
Our main aims are to:
  • maintain educational centers for children and adults who wish to learn and speak Czech or Slovak and to preserve their heritage and identity
  • develop and showcase traditional arts from Chechia, Slovakia and from other European communities to maintain the unique art, culture and values of these communities that live in the UK 
  • organise community events and engage with the wider British public to promote and share the values and traditions that the Czechs and Slovaks bring to the UK 
  • work in partnership with other community groups and local authorities to seek solutions to the barriers and problems encountered by the Czech and Slovak communities in the UK
