Children attending Slovak schools in the UK had an amazing opportunity to join other Slovak children from all over the world at a ski camp in Slovakia organized by University Mateja Bella, Banska Bystrica. They spent a week in the beautiful mountains in Donovaly, where they did two sessions a day of skiing and in the evening they had Slovak lessons. Amazing opportunity for children to make new friends, learn Slovak language and how to ski.

 A big THANK YOU to the management of Solihull Barons for inviting the Slovak & Czech community to their penultimate game of the season, and after game skating. Children had the opportunity to meet the players after the game and take pictures with them. A great evening was had by all, made better by watching the home team win 5:4. Many stayed after the game to enjoy the ice skating and we look forward to returning again when the new season starts. Action from the game can be found by clicking on the picture above. |
