Children Folk dance group BREZICKA was founded in 2014 by Jana Forgacova to introduce Slovak folklore to children attending Slovak supplementary school.
Adults Slovak Folk Ensemble BREZA was founded in 2018 by Slovak folk dancer and choreographer Petra Dono. She has dedicated her life to folk dancing since the age of 5, and brings a wealth of experience, passion and love of dance to the group.
The 15 strong group of adult and teen dancers meet and rehearse weekly, and are supported by musicians playing traditional instruments including the Accordion and Ozembuch.
The traditional costumes were all hand made in Slovakia, with the financial support of ÚSŽZ, and we welcome the opportunity to perform at weddings and cultural events around the UK.
